Why it matters.
So, why do we need to follow this precise process when installing floating floors? Well, there are a couple of important reasons. First and foremost, if choosing a benchtop with a waterfall end, your precious benchtops need solid support directly from the floor to meet the Benchtop Warranty criteria. And those stylish panels and toe kicks? They must be sealed to the flooring to meet the Panel Warranty criteria. We don't want any surprises down the line, right?
Step by Step: Kitchen Install Process with Floating Floors
Floor Prep: Before we even think about the kitchen, the floor layer swings into action. They prepare the entire area, making sure the floor is level to meet the required tolerances for your chosen flooring product.
Kitchen Installation: Now it's time for the main event – your beautiful kitchen! We install it complete with all the bells and whistles, including panels and doubled-up toe kicks.
Floor Installation: Next up is the floor installer. They arrive on the scene, undercutting the necessary panels and potentially removing the second toe kick. Then, they lay the floor. If that second toe kick was removed, it gets trimmed to fit and re-installed. They'll also ensure a waterproof seal where the panels and the toekicks meet the flooring.
Waterfall Benchtops: Time for the finishing touch! We install those stunning waterfall benchtops, all while considering the expansion tolerances of the flooring to ensure a seamless finish.
